Block Printing on Painted felt

These are the printing blocks I selected

I selected a fawn piece of coloured felt for this project. I lightly dampened it all over one side using a sponge. I then randomly and individually painted three different colours of acrylic paint over this dampened surface. My thinking was a garden theme. The piece was left to dry completely.

Next I located a similar sized piece of Vliesofix.

Next I selected 2 similar garden themed printing blocks and applied black paint to their raised surface, use a brush. N.B. The paint must be printed on the rough side of the Vliesofix.Don't overprint the number of images. I overlapped some, or half printed others, for a more natural look to fit in with the garden theme. When completely dry place the Vliesofix rough side down on the painted felt. Cover with Baking Paper and ensure you press slowly and all over.

Finally when the Vliesofix is cold, carefully peel off the backing piece.

I then brushed on some smallblobs of paint to represent blossoms etc to brighten up the garden theme. Try a flash of copper paint if you have it.
