Book Cover made with created fabrics
Using a hot fine tipped soldering iron to cut, meld!! (a word for melt/weld), which can join and mark fabrics. What fun, but disasters can happen with the stroke of a'"hot tip" either to the work or a finger! The work failures should not be discarded, the good bits can always be recycled.
This piece is a book cover. Added flower shapes have been cut from created fabrics then attached to the surface with small 'meld' marks made by the heated soldering iron. Silk hand dyed plaited ties complete the cover
