I called this piece Exploding the Virus. You are probably isolated in your home like my family. The Covid 19 virus is hidden everywhere in the community and on every television station, and therefore constantly in every conversation. So this piece saw me creating a colourful piece where i imagined it being eliminated forever from our country, the world and of course our thinking. So, how I created this piece is at follows. The background was red backed woven curtain material. The prefelt coloured shapes were attached to the background using machine needle felting. The black rounded shapes were cut with a soldering iron using black stiffened A4 sheet of felt. The remainder is hand sewn embroidery using simple stitches plus a few flat metallic beads. VOILA! A writhing exploding VIRUS.
